Intel Teases Technology to Better iPhone Integration with PCs – Guide

Intel’s next-generation Evo PCs can have iPhone and Apple Watch integration with iMessage support. iPhone users can access iMessage and Health app data on the new platform. Intel continues to work with Apple to deliver the new features. It seems unlikely that Apple will support unofficial ways to use iMessage on Windows. Microsoft’s Pluton, a security processor designed to protect against some of the most sophisticated types of attacks, is being integrated into upcoming AMD Ryzen CPUs for use in Lenovo’s ThinkPad Z laptops.

Pluton is a new technology that will protect Xbox Ones and Azure Sphere microcontrollers from physical hacks designed to install malware or steal cryptographic keys or other sensitive secrets. The technology stores keys and other secrets in a walled garden, isolated from other system components. The new ThinkPad Z series laptops will ship in May.

The next generation of its premium Evo brand for company-certified computers. In addition to support for folding devices and the WiFi 6E standard, the new Evo PCs also offer iPhone and Apple Watch integration with iMessage support for the first time. Last year, Intel acquired Screen ovate – a platform known for providing solutions for managing and controlling iOS and Android devices on Windows. As noted by Engadget, the platform already supports Dell Mobile Connect tool and will now be available for Intel Evo certified computers.

Intel’s new messaging platform gives iPhone users access to their text messages and even iMessages on Windows, while Apple limits the Messaging app to its platforms. Additionally, Intel revealed that the platform can display data from the Health app, even that collected from an Apple Watch paired with the user’s iPhone.

While it looks promising for Windows users with an iPhone, it’s not clear whether the feature will see the light of day as Intel says it is “working with partners, including Apple” to offer this tool – but it seems unlikely that Apple will support an unofficial method of using iMessage on Windows.

Final note

Intel has teased a technology that will allow iPhones to connect with PCs better, potentially making it easier for users to access information and files on their devices. If the rumors are true, this technology could make using a PC more convenient for users, as well as save them time and money.
