How to Start a video call in Slack
If you’re using the Slack Free version, you can start DM video calls with another member. That way, you don’t have to use another video conferencing app to discuss work-related or private topics with someone in the workspace.
In your computer:
Launch the Slack desktop app or visit the web browser client and sign in to your workspace.
In the sidebar on the left, click on the conversation (DM) with the person you want to call.
This will open a call window with the current conversation.

On your phone:
Open Slack on your device and log in to your account.
