Download the Luma app
To start the setup process, you will need to download and install the Luma app on your smartphone. Unfortunately, there is no desktop app at the moment. However, you can still use the Luma app to set up your camera.
Create your account here
After you create your account, you will be able to: -Upload a profile photo -Enter your name and email address -Select a language -Create a password -Sign in Once you have logged in, you will be able to: -View your account information -Manage your notifications and messages -Browse the app’s content ..

Next, enter your phone number and tap “Next.” This will take you to a page where you can set up Luma so customer support can contact you.

Create your WiFi network
On the next screen of the app, select how many Luma units you are configuring up. If not three, select “Other value”.
Make sure you have the Luma drive, its power cord, and the ethernet cable that came in the box. Click “Next”.

If your house has multiple floors, select the floor on which your modem is located and tap “Next”.
If you have a cable modem, plug the cable into the wall and plug the modem into the computer. If you have a DSL modem, connect the DSL cord to the computer and connect the modem to the DSL port on your router. ..
Your new Wi-Fi network will be called “WIFI-1” and your password will be “password”.
Install the first Luma drive
Plug the ethernet cable included in the box into a free ethernet port on your modem/router and plug the other end into the “In” ethernet port on the Luma unit. ..
The blue light will circle around the Luma drive when it starts up, and it will show a message that says “Luma Drive initialized.”
Next, you’ll be asked to name this Luna drive. Unfortunately, you can’t type in a custom room name so you’ll have to choose one of the available options.
Luma is a new app that will start up quickly.
When the WiFi connection is solid, the light will turn blue. Tap “Start WiFi” in the app to start it.
After completing the configuration process, the app will say that the Luma device has been successfully configured. If you have another Luma unit to install, tap “Add another Luma”.
The app will tell you where to place your next unit for the best results, but you don’t have to follow this advice. I put my second unit downstairs and it still works great.
To install the second unit (and any later units), all you need to do is plug it into an outlet and wait for it to boot up. Once it’s booted up, you will go through the app and name the unit. ..
Just like before, tap “Start WiFi” when this screen appears. When finished, continue configuring up your other Luma units.
After installing all the units, you will be prompted to activate your network. Press “Ok” to continue. ..
