If you have books that you no longer want on your Kindle, you can delete them. Deleting a book from your Kindle doesn’t remove it from your account; it just removes the book from your device. You can still access the book if you have it downloaded to your computer or another Kindle device. To delete a book:
- Open the Kindle app on your device.
- Tap the Menu button (three lines in a row at the top of the screen).
- Tap Library.
- Tap the book that you want to delete.

How to Remove a book from the Kindle library
On a laptop or desktop computer, click on the Accounts and Lists button to the right of the search box. On a smartphone or tablet, click on the three lines in the top left.
To delete a single book, tap or click the three dots to the left of the name and tap or click Delete.
To delete multiple books, tap or click the checkboxes next to each one. On a computer, click the Delete button button at the top of the screen. On a smartphone or tablet, after selecting books using the checkboxes, tap the three vertical dots above the book list, followed by Delete.
You will be warned that this will permanently delete the book from your Kindle library. If you press ‘Yes, Permanently Delete’, the book will be removed from your Kindle library and you will not be able to read it again.
