How to Change your location on LinkedIn
If you are a LinkedIn user, click the Me icon at the top of your LinkedIn home page and select “View Profile” with a left click.
To change the text on your Business Card, click on the small pencil symbol / Edit icon on your Business Card highlighted in the image below.
Scroll down to Country / Region and see the highlighted below pop-up window.
In this example, LinkedIn will suggest countries for the United States and Canada.
If you want to leave at a country/region level, but want to highlight a more local landmark or city, you can click save and move on.
If you want to add a city, district, post office or zip code to your LinkedIn profile, you can do so by clicking on the “Add City” button.
British cities are starting to see Americanized “Greater X” naming conventions, so you may want to be careful if you’re looking for a city in the UK. For example, Southampton, England, is instead known as Great Southampton Area.
Your profile will update if you click on “Save” next to the arrow.
