How to Adjust Speed of MacBook’s Arrow Keys – Guide
The arrow keys are the computer keyboard buttons that are configured or assigned to move the cursor in a specific direction. The four arrow keys are typically used to move the cursor up, down, left, and right.
If you are a Windows OS user who just migrated to Mac OS, you may find that the arrow keys speed is excessively slow compared to Windows OS. The keyboard response time of Windows is substantially faster than that of Mac. On Mac OS, you can also change the input speed using the keyboard.
In Mac OS, you can change the speed of arrow keys by using the Keyboard Preferences. To do this, open the Keyboard Preferences and select the “Speed” tab. When you press and hold an arrow key to move the text cursor in the text document, it takes a short pause before the cursor starts moving. It is due to the delay until the setup repeats, while it takes a while to recognize that an arrow key has been pressed. If you want a little pause before the action repeats itself, move the “Delay until repeat” slider to the “Long” slide. Whereas if you don’t want a pause before the arrow action repeats, move the slider to the far right.
